Casey Stoner's start to the season has been very disappointing so far. Having reached the sixth stage of the 2010 world championship, the Australian centaur has not yet managed to get on the podium and the 2007 world champion has only 35 points in the standings, 80 less than the world championship leader Jorge Lorenzo. At Silverstone a bad start prevented him from fighting for the podium, he will try again at Assen. The word is up to him.

“This year, sometimes I made mistakes, sometimes we struggled to find the right set up but in any case, for one reason or another, things didn't go as they should despite having the opportunity to do well and also to win. We have speed, a competitive technical package and the whole team is doing an excellent job as always so in Assen we will try again to put everything back together. Last Sunday in the warm-up we managed to find a good set up, perhaps we lacked a bit of "grip" but in general I was happy with the bike so in theory we should be able to be fast in Holland too. However, I don't want to make predictions, I just have to continue to work well with my team and see if together we can turn this season around."
