Yamaha MotoGP – The marriage continues between Yamaha and Pol Espargarò (2013 Moto2 champion), fresh winner of the Suzuka 8 hours, raced together with his team-mate Bradley Smith and the tester Katsuyuki Nakasuga. The Spanish rider will be riding the Team Tech 1 M3 again in 2016 and is currently ninth in the world rankings.

“I'm happy because renewing my contract with a factory like Yamaha is fantastic. Yamaha gave me the opportunity to make my debut in MotoGP and, together, I believe we had a good first season. This year we are working hard to improve our results, which were not as strong as we would have liked – said Pol Espargarò – However, next season there will be some important changes in the category. From my point of view, the less you change regarding the team and the bike, the easier it will be to adapt to all this. Despite some difficult moments, I know I can continue to work well together with the Yamaha Tech3 Team to achieve our goals. This announcement is also fantastic because it comes after the success of the Suzuka 8 Hours. Therefore, I hope that this result and the renewal of my contract will help me for the remaining nine races.”
