MotoGP Phillip Island, Warm Up: Marquez still at the top, Iannone and Rossi in fourth and fifth position
The Honda champion precedes team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo
Final adjustments for the MotoGP class riders at Phillip Island, scene of the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for 07:00 in Italy.
The best time in the Warm Up held with 23° in the air, 27° on the asphalt and a wind that blew up to 34 km/h was the two-time world champion Marc Marquez, who stopped the clock on time of 1:29.871.
His team-mate Dani Pedrosa is second at just 28 thousandths and just ahead of Jorge Lorenzo, only 57 thousandths off the top. Andrea Iannone's Warm Up was also excellent, bringing the Ducati to fourth position just 77 thousandths from the top. Behind the Pramac Racing rider we find Valentino Rossi, who lapped in 1:30.021.
Rossi is ahead of Cal Crutchlow, who will start the race from the front row on his Ducati GP14, which in turn precedes Bradley Smith's Factory Yamaha, Aleix Espargarò's Open, team-mate Andrea Dovizioso and Pol's Factory Yamaha I will spread.
The strongest on the pace were Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo and Iannone, who confirmed the good things shown in testing. Dani Pedrosa was indecipherable, managing to do only a few laps at a fast pace.
