MotoGP – Phillip Island Day 1 – Valentino Rossi: “Very satisfied”
Valentino Rossi gave his best in the first MotoGP test session at Phillip Island, setting the best time in 1'31.032, over 1" ahead of his teammate Jorge Lorenzo, only sixth. The reigning world champion is very satisfied with this start to the weekend where he managed to ride his Yamaha in the best way as he had been used to this season: he has the say.
"Today we made a great start. We were immediately competitive and I'm really happy to start in front of everyone at Phillip Island, which is a circuit where I really enjoy racing. We managed to get some good times by trying a lot of different things and I was able to ride as I like. We can certainly improve even if we already have a good pace, we will continue to work tomorrow to try to be faster, but as the first day of testing we can be very satisfied."
