Chaz Davies is back on the Ducati Desmosedici GP7 of Team Pramac D'Antin for the third last round of the 2007 world championship on the Phillip Island circuit. The twenty-year-old English rider had already climbed aboard the Ducati in the United States GP held at Laguna Seca, obtaining excellent results in both testing and the race and today, on the first day of free practice, he achieved the thirteenth fastest time. Given the changing weather conditions, Davies preferred not to take unnecessary risks, he had the microphone.

“I started these first tests calmly, given the track conditions I preferred to try to improve little by little. During the day we made several changes and in the afternoon I felt much better on the bike. At the end of the second practice session I crashed without consequences and I think there was oil on the track, because a few moments later Stoner also suffered the same fate in the same place. Tomorrow I hope to continue improving to get a good position on the starting grid.”
