MotoGP: New role in HRC for Alberto Puig

Alberto Puig after the "separation" from Dani Pedrosa (read here to find out more) now has a new role in HRC. He will in fact be a supervisor for various HRC activities, including the Asia Talent Cup and the recruitment and management of young drivers.

“We are very happy to strengthen the role of Alberto (Puig, ed.) in HRC and make use of his vast knowledge of this World – said Shuhei Nakamoto – He is a precious resource for Honda Racing and we must use and benefit from his great experience . He is a respected person in the paddock and I think this will be a new challenge for him.”

“This is an exciting new challenge for me and I am grateful to HRC for the opportunity,” he said Alberto puig – Initially I will focus on the new Asian Cup, but then my role will grow and I will have to help HRC as much as possible with the promising young players. As for Dani (Pedrosa, ed.) I hope he can realize his dream (winning the MotoGP title) and looking back over these years I can only be proud of what we have done, winning titles in the 125cc and 250cc and winning races in MotoGP.”

“After many years of working together on the track with Alberto (Puig, ed.), next season he will no longer be at my side in the garage – added Dani Pedrosa – He will take care of new projects and I felt it was time to change, because I he has already given so much.
