Nicky Hayden expects a difficult weekend at the Twin Ring in Motegi, the fifteenth stage of the 2011 motorcycle racing series. The Ducati rider has never achieved great results on the Japanese circuit. The word is up to him.

“I have a lot of fans in Japan and there are a lot of people who love motorcycling, it would be nice to give them a good show, because without a doubt they haven't had an easy year. The situation of radioactivity levels seems to be under control so only possible earthquakes could create some fear. We hope to have a good race even if Motegi was one of my worst tracks so far with the Ducati. Getting in and out of those hairpin bends has always been difficult for me. I don't expect an easy weekend but the company is working at maximum speed to offer us all possible options and find a direction for the future. It's nice to see the effort everyone is putting in and, even if the results aren't paying off immediately, we are learning a lot and obtaining information that will be a great help in the long term.”

Ah, why were the other weekends riding that… “bolt” a walk in the park?
Now we can only hope that the 1000 is really in the same performance zone as the Honda, otherwise we will have a lot of free Sundays next year.
