Dani Pedrosa was visited today in Barcelona by Doctor Xavier Mir at the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus. The visit confirmed that the Repsol Honda Team rider did not suffer any further damage during his accident yesterday in the Italian Grand Prix. Pedrosa had started the race injured after a bad skid in practice which had caused him to strain his gluteal muscles, in particular the gluteus medius with an infringement of the greater trochanter of his right hip. The Spaniard will now rest ahead of the Catalunya Grand Prix, his home GP which will take place in Barcelona on 14 June. He has the microphone.

“It's a relief that today's tests showed nothing new. Saturday's injury is still very painful, obviously, but luckily the situation is improving. It's a real shame because I was regaining maximum feeling with the bike. But now I just have to think about a quick recovery. I really hope that I can be fit for the next race, because it is very important for me and for the team.”
