MotoGP – Mugello Qualifying – Dani Pedrosa: “Happy with the pole”

Dani Pedrosa took the second pole position of the season at Mugello, managing to put the official HRC Honda ahead of everyone in qualifying. The Catalan driver is satisfied with the pole, even if he expects a difficult race where Jorge Lorenzo starts as favourite.

“I'm happy with the pole, we worked very well in practice and in qualifying we took a step forward. We achieved our goal this day, for tomorrow we set out to win and doing so from the front row is important. We managed to lap with a constant pace and the bike works better in Le Mans, we are competitive even if Jorge Lorenzo is the rider to beat. We still have to improve, but I'm calm and sure that tomorrow will be a good race. I'm very sorry for Valentino Rossi, I didn't see his fall, I hope the operation goes well."
