MotoGP – Mugello QP1 – Loris Capirossi conquers the front row

Like last year, Loris Capirossi will start from the front row of the grid with the Suzuki GSV-R at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. The rider from Borgo Rivola managed to obtain a great time reference which allowed him to get closer to Jorge Lorenzo's pole position, taking advantage of the wake of Valentino Rossi who was actually "mocked" by Capirossi who was following him. This front row was welcomed with great satisfaction by Loris, who commented as follows at the end of qualifying.

“It was a fantastic day today, especially because last night I was a bit disappointed with our competitiveness and so we changed something to the bike. Stuart (his crew chief) is very good and immediately understood what to change to our bike and already this morning it was going better. For us the objective is to always do our best: it will be a difficult race, I will give my best and we will see what happens."
