MotoGP Mugello: Verbal warning for Casey Stoner

The Australian from Honda "recalled" for the maneuver against Danilo Petrucci from Terni

MotoGP Mugello: Verbal warning for Casey StonerMotoGP Mugello: Verbal warning for Casey Stoner

Casey Stoner was verbally warned by the race direction for having voluntarily overtaken and considered dangerous Danilo Petrucci at the exit of the Biondetti at Mugello.

The Australian driver had found himself in the path of the Ioda Racing driver who was pulling and certainly wasn't going for a walk. The only "fault" that could be attributed to the driver from Terni is that of driving a CRT, among other things the slowest of the lot. The two-time world champion has always been against this type of motorbike and even today he said "It's as if Formula 1 were racing with Touring Cars".

As reported by Motocuatro.con the warning occurred when Stoner had already left the circuit and was therefore brought back to the Repsol Honda Team. The same Petrucci had this to say today.

And thank goodness that we are always the ones who start with the provocations and insults to everyone.
As they continually say and then here they come out into the open and we can see who the first and most "gifted" really are!

It's not a question of provocation... it's that it's not the first time Stoner has behaved in this way... he's the one who often talks about "correctness". Maybe he should be reminded how dangerous racing in MotoGP can be... and until proven otherwise he should thank the CRT if he is racing in MotoGP. I remind Stoner that winning a title with Ducati doesn't make him a champion if he then behaves like this... it's just a "presumptuous little pilot"... Maximum disappointment.... if he was at the qualifications what did he do? Did he shoot him? Woh …. it was just free practice….

but poor Caesy didn't even touch it... yes well sorry for Petrucci but the CRTs shouldn't be with the Moto GPs regardless of who drives them...

It's not a good reason not to respect them.

Yet another censorship maneuver by Stoner, everyone agrees but he is right about the CRTs, they are useless and unsuitable for the context of Moto GP, put in only to replace the empty boxes, it's as if F1 were racing together with GP2!

Stoner is right to leave MotoGP…..it has now become the point of reference for ridicule…..the maximum technological expression of the best world manufacturers, they must stoop to giving track (I can't write they compete, or race against the CRTs) to of the motorbikes, which I honestly don't know what they are for....you wanted to (rightly) fill the number of participants......then you had to open up the regular competition to 2-strokes (maybe 750!!! When Stoner was asked it, his lights lit up 'eyes….TRUE PILOT…luckily he doesn't go Lentino…..

    1. Micbatt said:

congratulations Andrea…. really nice comment…. Does risking an accident with a CRT seem right to you???? Boys …. go back to the stadiums to support football, that's all you are capable of doing...

    2. Whoa said:

obviously you were present at all the rubbish you wrote!..but please..
      real driver..750 2t..meh!

      1. Whoa said:

respect on the track and in sport is necessary and obligatory...if it were him on a CRT and he took a bump from Petrucci on a Honda? perhaps some super fans and riders who write here don't have the slightest idea of what it means to go to the track.. rent a motorbike if you don't have one and have a day on the track.. you would get a lot of stadium comments..

But if, while you're running home because you're in a hurry, you find an old man with a Panda in front of you, what the fuck would you do?
Let's stop criticizing, also because then the two understood each other. Casey wasn't happy with the fact that Danilo had forced the braking curve first and overtaken him, because he didn't know that Petrux was giving 10.000%: and in any case he wouldn't have cared very little given that he too was pulling.
The CRTs should be abolished: the safety of the pilots is at stake, or the werekangaroo will hit them all :P

    1. H954RR said:

Well done, you said it right.
If there are those who go faster than you, you have to let them pass and watch out for them coming, for example when you are lapped, what would you do, would you start competing with those who go twice as fast as you or would you let them pass?
You can't have two championships with such a huge difference in performance, which will have a negative impact on safety for both!

      1. Whoa said:

the time difference is not that high.. have you ever overtaken someone who runs 3 sec slower?.. it's still not a walk in the park..

I agree with the warning, reactions must always be sanctioned.
MotoGP's John Nash can be given more than he should, for what he shows, but not when the limits of other people's safety are exceeded.

he's right. Regardless of Petrucci being slow or fast, you can't race bikes that are inferior even to superbikes to fill the grid...either they're all CRTs or they're all Moto GPs, the gap between the 2 classes is abysmal!
