MotoGP Motegi, Free Practice: Cal Crutchlow “We have a lot to work on, I'm also far behind Andrea who rides the same bike as me”

Cal Crutchlow he closed the first day of free practice at Motegi with the 9th fastest time, almost 9 tenths of a second. The Monster Yamaha Tech3 team rider is certainly not used to finishing so low on the time table this year and for this reason he is very disappointed at the end of the day. Furthermore, if we consider that his team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso, is 3rd, the thoughts increase even more in the mind of the British. Tonight we will have to work to improve tomorrow in qualifying.

“Today certainly didn't start as I hoped – Crutcholw said – we worked a lot to improve the bike but we weren't able to find a good setting. I'm at the bottom of the time table, far behind Andrea who rides the same bike as me, so it's obvious that we have a lot of work to do to improve ourselves tomorrow. So far nothing I've tried has allowed me to improve the feeling, I then have to improve with the hard tires because I will almost certainly use those in the race.
