After the excellent result achieved in Aragon, Alvaro Bautista and Karel Abraham are ready to repeat the performances shown in Spain also in Japan. The objective of the Motegi weekend will be to battle for the mid-table positions, perhaps taking advantage of some errors from the top teams to enter the top five on Sunday.

Here are the words of Alvaro Bautista: “This is the first of three consecutive races outside of Europe. In Aragon we had a great race after a good weekend, fighting with the riders from the middle of the field. We hope to repeat ourselves in Japan where I also achieved a podium in the past. This is a “stop & go” circuit, where a stable bike is required during braking and acceleration. Our goal is to maintain the same performance as Aragon, fighting for mid-table positions. It's always nice to go to Japan, where there are so many racing fans."

Here are Karel Abraham's impressions: “I'm excited about the next race in Japan. After all the races in Europe it's time for airplanes, airports and weather changes… I have great memories of Japan, where I scored my first podium in Moto2 after a great battle in the last few laps… an incredible feeling. Now I'm working towards another great result. Maybe the podium is too far away to think about, but Motegi is certainly a track where we can do well."
