Hector Barbera MotoGP 2016 Motegi Team Ducati – Hector Barberà he closed the Motegi qualifying session with a good 8th time and will start from the third row in the Japanese Grand Prix tomorrow. The Spaniard, who in this race is riding the Desmosedici GP normally used by Andrea Iannone, finished one second from Valentino Rossi's pole, after having performed convincing tests in FP3, a session in which compared to yesterday, he felt better on the Official Ducati. Thus he improved his best lap, qualifying directly for Q2.

“Today was a positive day and I felt much better than yesterday on the Desmosedici GP – said Hector Barberà – I would just need to do many more kilometers with this bike to get used to its characteristics. In FP4 we only worked with used tires and I began to understand the bike better: we made a good step forward, but in Q2 I wasn't able to put together a perfect lap. However, I'm eighth on the grid and I start on the third row, but it's a position from which you can have a good race. For tomorrow I think we can improve the set-up a little more and I think I can improve my feeling too.”
