Cal Crutchlow he finished qualifying at Misano in 5th place, gaining the second row. The Tech3 team driver thus managed to close the qualifications in the best possible way given that in the first rounds of testing he hadn't even qualified among the top 10. He was thus forced for the first time in the season to play the mini-round with the Crts in order to enter QP1. Crutchlow had problems especially in the third sector and hopes to be able to reduce the gap to the leaders tomorrow in the warm-up and compete among the protagonists here in Misano too.

“It certainly hasn't been an easy weekend so far – Cal Crutchlow said – I was left out of QP1 for the first time since the start of the season. So thinking about how difficult it was, I'm satisfied to have conquered the second row. This afternoon went much better and as always I gave everything in qualifying to put out a good performance. In these situations I'm always strong but today I still had to give everything to get out of the problems. We still have to find something for the race because the gap to the leaders is too high. I'm trying to go as fast as possible but since mid-season I've lost the feeling I had with the bike and now I have to improve to go faster. One area where I need to improve here is the third. Tomorrow, however, I want to try and make a good start and stay with the leading group to give my team a good result."
