MotoGP – Misano QP1 – Elias didn't expect the second row

Toni Elias was not expecting the second row in the starting grid of the Misano Adriatico Grand Prix. The Spanish rider of the San Carlo Honda Gresini team managed to improve significantly compared to yesterday, thus managing to take the lead in qualifying with the fourth fastest time.

“I'm very happy because I never thought I'd improve by two seconds in one day. One is easy enough, but two? I'm definitely amazed at the great work the team did. Yesterday I wasn't happy but I knew exactly where the problems were and conveyed to the team once again they were splendid. We still have two small interventions to make to be able to face the race with a better pace and perhaps be able to get closer to the riders ahead of us. However, now I am very happy and quite excited about the opportunities I might have tomorrow.”
