MotoGP Misano, Preview: Dovizioso, “Track not too favorable for Ducati, but we will try for the best result”
The current World Championship leader arrives at his home race with the disappointment of Rossi's absence
GP Misano MotoGP Ducati – Andrea Dovizioso left England, home of the last Grand Prix, at the top of the world championship standings. There are 9 points that separate him from second in the standings Marc Marquez.
The next stage of the MotoGP will be the San Marino Grand Prix, a circuit not very favorable to the Borgo Panigale team which however completed a test session on this track 2 weeks ago with both the official riders and the test rider, Michele Pirro, and defined as very positive.
On this track, although it is his real home race, the best result of the Forlì native is a fourth place achieved four times (2009, 2010, 2012 and 2014).
These are the words of Andrea Dovizioso: “Arriving at Misano as championship leader is fantastic, although I'm very sorry for Rossi's absence because it would have been nice to be able to fight with him too. In the past the Misano track hasn't been too favorable to Ducati, but a couple of weeks ago we had a very positive test on this circuit and we are in good shape, so we will try to bring home the best result possible."
