MotoGP – Misano – Jorge Lorenzo: "I got as many points as possible"

Unable to counter Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo was content with second place at Misano Adriatico which allowed him to lose only 5 points to his teammate in the standings, now preparing to return to winning ways in the next Estoril grand prix where he won in 2008.

“I did what I had to do today and got as many points as possible, which is the most important thing you can achieve when you're not at one hundred percent. Unfortunately we struggled a bit throughout the weekend to find the right set-up and so I thought it was best to pay close attention and secure second place today. I lost some time to overtake Dani and Toni and in the end Valentino was too far away. Afterwards I almost crashed at the second corner, so I wanted to make sure I got the points needed to keep the championship alive. We have work to do, but we will make sure we are at our best at Estoril, where I have great memories of my first win last year.”
