Misano GP MotoGP Honda Repsol race – Marc Marquez won the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, after an incredible battle with Danilo Petrucci.

A race that was only decided on the last lap, when the driver from Cervera decided to stop thinking about the championship and passed the Terni driver.

Thanks to the victory in Romagna, Marc Marquez returns to the top of the world championship standings, equal with Andrea Dovizioso, with the same number of victories but with one more podium.

A summary of the race

“The race was very difficult, the conditions were tough and changed throughout the race. Initially I was worried about the championship and was thinking of settling for second position. Then I saw that I had the potential to win and I went. Maybe in Valencia I would have lost because of those points. During the race I tried to follow Danilo, because after I risked falling, I tried to take fewer risks. When there were 3 laps to go, I saw that I had a chance to pass him and I decided to take a risk. It's a very difficult championship, you have to be careful, but you also have to know how to manage this pressure.
This championship is incredible, you never know what can happen.”

Do you think Rossi still has a chance to fight for the title?
“Now Vale and Dani's delay has increased even more, but you never know. I think it's the normal trend of the championship. As we move forward, the number of drivers fighting for the title will become fewer and fewer.”

At a certain point in the race, you waved your leg and the mechanics started to prepare the bike for dry conditions, were you thinking of changing the bike?

“Going from wet to dry setup takes a long time to change, we had decided the strategy before the race, and the plans were to notify the pits as soon as it stopped raining. But then the track remained very wet for the whole race, so it was useless.”

You were booed on the podium and when you fell, what did you think?

“I can understand the boos on the podium, but when you have an accident it's not nice. We go at 300km/h and we risk our lives, it's not nice to see these things. I hope my fans never do this, it's not worthy behavior."

What do you think are the next favorable races for Ducati and Honda?

“I really don't know. In Austria I expected to finish far from the Ducati, here I thought it would be difficult, while at Silverstone I thought the Ducati would suffer, but that wasn't the case. The race paces are often very similar. It will be a close fight until the end, but we must not forget Vinales.”

    A phenomenon!!
I hope that Dovi wins the world championship, but it will be very, very difficult, this guy is a champion!
Don't pay attention to the boos, if you think for a moment about who is insulting you, you can't help but be happy, certain rumours are better to have against than for, the more you win the more these troglodytes suffer.

he is an absolute phenomenon and even if I hope he loses the world championship it is a spectacle to see him racing, the best in the world! Those who boo him don't like motorcycling and we all know who they are...

Marquez's engine exploded at Silverstone, today the livers of many imbeciles exploded.
Well done Marc, victory was the best answer

It's not nice to call the fans imbeciles, who have the right to boo and cheer whoever they want. If the vast majority support Rossi, dear marquinho, do you mean that everyone is imbeciles except you and a select few?😀

It's not because Italy is full of Fiats or it means it's better than Maserati...
but with people like you I think it's also useless to argue, continue in your world...goodbye

No, that term is the sweetest one can use towards certain people. I may be old, but I've always experienced motorcycling in a different way. I just want to remind you that it's not football, all the drivers have always respected each other here. They are guys who put on a show by putting their lives on the line (not much time has passed since the last victim) and they all have the right to have the respect of all the fans, without worthy opponents, there are no worthy winners and the fans, let them cheer for those who want, but support, this sport, until a few years ago was free from "support against", now unfortunately (and I say this reluctantly) this is no longer the case. Who does the cheering against come from? Only by a small circle of fans who support a particular driver. It would be appropriate to ask ourselves why and above all whether, over the years, it was necessary to exacerbate tensions, as has been done.

We love motorcycling for motorcycling itself and not for a rider, He is part of the whole, motorcycling is the whole, if you really love it, you will never think of behaving that way, on any occasion.

      Thanks for your attention.

      Great Dovizioso
      Great Lorenzo
      Great Ducati

The 2015 championship was incredible thanks to your shameful conduct. The boos? You reap what you sow. Great Dovizioso!!!!

  • VDS said:

Oh yes...Marquez sows points and collects world championships, and you eat your liver!

    1. nandop6 said:

He can collect what he wants, he can lap Rossi etc.etc. I admired him because he is a great driver but what he did is indelible, certainly for you sportsmen it is a small thing to distort a world championship on a whim.

And you continue to insult him, boo him and enjoy his failures, in this way you think you can get justice for the wrong that, in your opinion, he has done to your king..

      2. nandop6 said:

To our king???? Here's your problem, if he had done it to Stoner he would always have been a bimbominkia for us while for you he would have been a bimbominkia. You see, respect is given to those who deserve it, he may be a great rider but he remains an idiot and for this reason it is right that Rossi's fans but above all sportsmen express what they think.

Are you crazy? Football is played in stadiums, here it's motorcycling, a completely different thing. The terrible actions shown by your favorite over the years have never been a reason to reach certain extremes.

        Great Dovizioso
        Great Lorenzo
        Great Ducati

You're off track Nando, but that's okay.
If I think it's right that "sportspeople" behave like the brothers who applauded a crash, hanged a puppet at Mugello, and boo the Spaniards on the podium out of spite, then there's no point.

      6. nandop6 said:

I agree with your opinion that all those demonstrations are very bad but it's the only way to get the message across.
I didn't like the booing of Lorenzo who in my opinion sometimes doesn't realize what he says or does, see the thumbs down on the 2015 podium and various statements with the appeal to Rossi and then trying to make up for it with other statements licks in favor of Rossi, but the one made by Marquez in the last three races of 2015 are an indelible stain of unsportsmanship so when you go to criticize the boos dedicated to him under the podium think about who could have been more unsportsmanlike and keep in mind that a rider he should understand better than the spectators and fans what it means to lose a world championship due to the whim of a colleague.

How boring this 2015 mess is, I remember that the provocateur was someone else and the only true absolute shame of 2015 was the most incorrect and unsportsmanlike act of taking Marc off course and making him fall with a kick from the most incorrect and unsportsmanlike person in the history of MotoGP, then the fact that someone still leads her with this "biscuit" story only denotes the inability to think and see how the reality of the facts is and follows like a hypnotized madman the demented evil provocateur of her master on duty, hahaha still great and come on Marc!
PS it's nice to see the races without the cheating par excellence, luckily there's just a little time left until the end of the dirt.

    1. nandop6 said:

Maybe you didn't understand that we're talking about the whistles, the reason is always the same, you always bring out the kick which unfortunately wasn't there, I would have paid for him to have given it to him and I would have liked it if it had entered his ass at least until instep.

      1. VDS said:

He likes to kick, so much so that he even threw one at the lady in the paddock, or maybe he didn't even see that??

Let Fonzi Nieto explain football to you, look for the film but you will have already seen it, then we are the ones who are gnawing, NB he is Spanish.

    hahahah make the chickens laugh!!

now you are attacked that those who boo Marquez don't love motorcycling!!! you turn the omelette however you want!

Marquez is a great champion, but to be a champion it's not enough to win!

Don't you call it a biscuit? call it by the right name: bastard

If you don't like receiving boos from the fans, you should have behaved well, dear Marquez.

Was his conduct in the race that time a good example?..if it was correct for you, I tell you to do so..

and then you say that the others are the coGLions…

you see the speck in the eye of others but not the beam you have in your seder..

    anyway Great Dovi!
    “Excellent” Lorenzo
