MotoGP 2015 #TIMguardaavanti Misano – one year after the launch of the project promoted by Tim, in collaboration with Ducati, to raise awareness of the dangers of road driving for young people, today in Misano the data were released, which highlight the clear success of the initiative, and the programs futures.

Christian Habetswallner, Telecom Italia Sponsorship Manager, explained that until last year road safety did not have a great impact on the media. Today, also thanks to the project launch #TIMguardaavanti which involved 20 schools and 82 testimonials from the world of entertainment and sport, the topic of road safety among young people was covered 18% more in radio broadcasts, 19% in print media, 20% on TV , 27% on the web and 26% on social channels.
But there is still a lot to do, so much so that since the beginning of the year the mortality rate for accidents has increased (given that it had not risen for over 10 years) and that only 1% of under 16s are afraid of your future and the dangers from the road.
Also for these reasons the project will be replicated but in different ways: the reference target will be the age group above the under 16s (up to 20 years old) with the aim of involving them in moments of "active citizenship" by taking them to the traffic lights to signal in real time to drivers the infringements they are committing. The best videos, in addition to being collected in a clip, will lead to the victory of a ticket for the 2016 Mugello Grand Prix.

On the occasion of the presentation of #TIMguardaavanti the main Ducati and non-Ducati testimonials spoke for the next season:

“It was nice to go to schools – he said Andrea Dovizioso – because you are an idol for kids and it's easier to be listened to. This is a real problem and we all have it a bit even if we don't pay much attention to it when we want to answer the phone while driving. If we think about it, when we are on the phone we cannot be careful while driving also because we feel too safe and do not consider that others are also there. First of all I have to think about it; but it's too important."

“Since we started this project – he continued Andrea Iannone – I'm much more careful about it. I used to use my phone while driving; especially at the beginning of this campaign, when I picked up the phone in the car I said to myself, look ahead! Furthermore, going into close contact with the lives of these kids who are younger than me served to raise a lot of awareness and make everyone realize the mistakes we make behind the wheel."

“It is important to raise awareness among young people about the use of mobile phones – he said Paolo ciabatti, Ducati Corse Sports Director - what's more, the initiative is aimed at a target that follows MotoGP a lot, thanks to which the message can be easily understood and metabolised by the kids".

“It was very nice to meet so many young people – he concluded Loris Capirossi – and exchange a few words. Everyone said they were good and attentive but that's not exactly the reality. They are the future, our future, and when they become men perhaps they will no longer use cell phones while driving. I personally still use it too much even though I'm paying more and more attention to keeping my cell phone in my pocket."
