MotoGP Misano: Alvaro Bautista “We expected a different result”

Alvaro Bautista did not go beyond seventh place in Misano, scene of the San Marino Grand Prix and the Rimini Riviera. The Spanish rider from Team Gresini expected more, especially seeing the results of the last few races. Unfortunately in the race he lapped significantly slower than in practice and this did not allow him to keep up with the riders in front. The word is up to him.

“We expected a different result because we had been competitive during all the tests and even in this morning's warm up I lapped with a very different pace than in the race. Right from the first laps I was struggling to stop the bike when entering corners and all of this is very strange because the bike setting was the same as in practice. I was definitely riding slower and this is not normal. We will analyze the data and try to understand why so as not to repeat the mistake in the future. It's a shame because we had the potential to fight for fifth position and maybe even fourth. Unfortunately these are the races and we have to quickly put this result to rest and think about the next round in Spain. I'm sorry because this was the home Grand Prix for the Team where last year we achieved the podium and I would have liked to give everyone a good result."
