MotoGP Michele Pirro – On the eve of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, the question is who will be able to replace him the injured Tito Rabat on the occasion of the Romagna GP.

The Spaniard, who suffered several fractures to his right leg (femur, tibia and fibula) during the fourth free practice session of the Silverstone GP, will certainly miss several events at the end of the season, perhaps all of them. Hence, the doubt as to who can replace the #53 on the Ducati Avintia.

The hope is that Rabat can recover soon, but by regulation the Borgo Panigale customer team within Aragon will have to find a replacement. The first name on the list is obviously that of Michele Pirro, Ducati test rider.

As he confirmed to us in a recent one interviews Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Sports Director, the Apulian rider will participate in the Misano GP as a wild card with the official team's bike, but nothing can be ruled out for the subsequent races, as Pirro himself confessed to MotoGP.com.

“The Misano race will be with my bike. We'll see about the future as we go along but I understand that Tito would like to return as soon as possible. I remain focused on Misano, to try to get the best result possible. And it is always Ducati that decides in the end." Pirro tells the story, then adds: “I wouldn't mind, on the contrary. If there was the possibility, always wanting Tito's fastest return, it would be very nice. That's also last year's bike that I know very well. It also has good potential. I could have fun, I'm ready." Finish. “As mentioned, however, the final decision is up to Ducati, it is the manufacturer that speaks directly with Avintia”.

The last presence of the #51 in MotoGP dates back to the Mugello GP, where it was the protagonist of a frightening accident: “I had a fairly important accident and fortunately I remember little of it. After a fall like that I still managed to get on the bike straight away and see that I had the competitiveness and it made me feel more calm. I missed some training though. I expect to see how I go given the very high level of the premier class. I think I can definitely have fun and try to fight in the top ten positions. We have a great bike. I'm proud of these results."
