MotoGP | Michele Pirro: “Andrea and Lorenzo will fight for the world championship, I will continue to grow”

MotoGP Presentation of Ducati Michele Pirro – Tester and rider Michele Pirro was present at the presentation of the new Ducati Desmosedici GP18.

The driver from Puglia, after having made a great contribution during the past season, especially on Jorge Lorenzo's box side, is ready for the new season. The "personal" objective of #51 will be to continue to grow and in the 2018 wild cards (presumably: Mugello, Misano and Valencia) to confirm himself in the top 5.

These are the words of Michele Pirro: “I am proud to be here and to have shared great successes last season. The time has come to confirm ourselves at great levels, I will try to do my part and I will constantly strive to be among the top 5 in the races in which I will participate. It won't be easy but I'll give it my all. Being alongside champions like Stoner, Lorenzo and Dovizioso has made me improve in many aspects, I just have to try to improve further. The objective will be to confirm myself. I believe Andrea and Lorenzo will fight for the world championship, and I will have to be at their level, also for the test team that works behind the scenes. This year the V4 debuts and I'm happy to be of help for this bike too. This year I had the opportunity to follow the riders closely, and I had to play the part of the 'angry policeman', giving directions not only as a driver and friend but pushing harder, which helped. A bit like Dall'Igna does with us, who when he serves is very strict."
