MotoGP | Marc VDS, Morbidelli satisfied after Mugello: "It wasn't the easiest day for the Hondas, but in the end I managed the race well"
"So much satisfaction for entering Q2," he added
Despite the fifteenth place achieved at the end of Sunday's race, Franco Morbidelli said he was satisfied with his performance at Mugello, underlining how the race pace shown on Sunday bodes well for the future. The Italian, we remember, finished qualifying in twelfth position, even managing to get into Q2, and on Sunday he managed to keep the pace of the riders in the middle of the group, increasing the feeling with his Honda.
Here are Morbidelli's words: “The race was good. It wasn't the easiest day for the Hondas, but in the end I managed the race quite well, especially at the beginning. When I was behind other riders I lost a lot but I managed to stay calm and keep the pace."
“Even though my pace wasn't great, I managed to be consistent and was able to score a point. It was a good result for us after all. A good weekend, from all points of view. Even the direct entry into Q2 gave me a lot of satisfaction and I showed that I can be quick. If I can improve my sensations in the race, I'm sure I can have some good races.", he added.
