MotoGP: Marc Marquez “I'm very happy with this pole even if it will be a difficult race”
Third pole for Marc Marquez, rookie of the Repsol Honda Team
Marc Marquez achieved his third pole in MotoGP today at the Sachsenring. The Honda rookie immediately felt at ease on the German toboggan and today set the best time ahead of the Yamahas of Cal Crutchlow and Valentino Rossi. He is obviously satisfied with the pole and expects a tough and close race. The word is up to him.
“I am very happy with this pole. It's important to start from the front row on this circuit, as it's very difficult to overtake! I felt very good, especially after the pace I had in FP4. In qualifying I struggled a bit to get the most out of the bike, but things went better on our second outing. I think we did a great job and we will try to do our best, have a good race and fight for the podium, and with a bit of luck try to win. After I saw Dani's crash (Pedrosa, ed.) I went through the first corner very cautiously. I really hope that he recovers quickly and that he can race tomorrow. It will be a difficult race, because Valentino (Rossi, ed.) will be in the game, as will Stefan (Bradl, ed.) and Cal (Crutchlow, ed.) who, if he is physically well, will be up there as well.”
