MotoGP | The last farewell to Giovanni Colaiacovo from the Misano World Circuit

MotoGP – Giovanni Colaiacovo, president of Colacem Spa, passed away at the age of 85 due to illness. The entrepreneur was transported and admitted to the Branca hospital in Gubbio where, however, his condition worsened with the passage of time, until his death which occurred yesterday, Wednesday 29 April.

Giovanni Colaiacovo was one of the protagonists of the global successes of the Group that owns the Misano World Circuit.

The Romagna circuit has decided to remember the entrepreneur through the words of the entire MWC structure which remembers his humanity and charisma, sharing in the pain of the family.

“Everyone here at MWC – they say in unison from the circuit – is well aware of what it means to work within such a strong Group. He taught us to believe in the sacrifice of work, in the rigor of management, to share the merits of successes. The strong push given by systematic investments, with attention to their sustainability in a logic of economic balance, has brought MWC into the world elite of motorsport facilities. These are merits that must be duly acknowledged to a large family of entrepreneurs, extended to thousands of collaborators, who has lost a father"

His collaborators remember him as the 'President' who was kind and helpful to everyone, regardless of the role he held. “We were his family. Work and commitment were his fundamental values, interpreted with ethics and responsibility. He cared so much about art and beauty that he was able to transform the various cement production plants, with attention to the smallest details, into large green parks.

He held a strong role in the company with authority, but at the same time he loved being among people and listening to them without forgetting anyone. She was present in the territories where the company operates, meeting people and institutional representatives, with her innate ability to build good relationships. We thank him for everything he has done for the company, for what he has built and left us as a lesson. A strong hug full of affection President”.
