MotoGP | Dovizioso's last GP: the affection of the fans [VIDEO]
The celebration for Dovi at the end of the race ended in 12th position
Andrea Dovizioso leaves MotoGP and this time for real. Misano was his last career Grand Prix and perhaps it was the right place and time to stop. Dovizioso has always been a competitive rider and this year's difficult results did not reflect his talent. In his twenty-year career, Dovi contested 345 Grands Prix, winning the world title in 2004 in 125cc and then moving up to 250cc until reaching the premier class. He achieved 24 victories, 103 podiums and 20 pole positions.
The battles with Marc Marquez were unforgettable where the two were the authors of breathtaking overtaking even at the limit but without ever triggering a controversy and today, the Spaniard wanted to greet him on the grid with a beautiful hug:

Dovizioso deserved more on a media level but perhaps this has never been a problem for him and this is demonstrated by the fact that this weekend it seemed incredible to him to have received so much affection from the fans and the MotoGP paddock.
“Totally unexpected emotion, I have to thank everyone because you are making me want to run again!

Thank you a million Dovi, Ducati is there also thanks to your work. A very underrated great.
I've always liked his way of being "anti-star".
