MotoGP – Losail Free practice 2 – Stoner still in the lead

There was nothing new in the last free practice session on the Losail circuit, the first stage of the 2010 MotoGP championship. In the MotoGP class Casey Stoner remained firmly in the lead with a time of 1'55.501, with Valentino Rossi second but 3 tenths of a second behind. It must be said that the Australian only completed 18 laps on his Ducati, managing to always stay ahead of all his rivals in the various exits from the pits.

With the third time there is instead the surprising Randy De Puniet with the first Honda in the standings fielded by Lucio Cecchinello's Team LCR, who precedes Andrea Dovizioso in the ranking with the official RCV Repsol Honda.

Fifth time for Jorge Lorenzo, behind for almost the entire hour of testing, approached by Mika Kallio with the Pramac Racing Ducati and Ben Spies always competitive with the Yamaha Tech 3.

Loris Capirossi (8th) and Dani Pedrosa (9th) recover something, while Nicky Hayden relegates to eleventh position after yesterday's fifth fastest time. Good progress for Marco Simoncelli, 12th, while Marco Melandri finds himself last with the second Honda Gresini. The only crash of the session was played by Hector Barbera, making his debut on the yellow Ducati of the Aspar team.
