MotoGP – Losail – Race canceled due to rain, perhaps it will take place tomorrow

A few minutes before the start of the MotoGP race, it started to drizzle in Losail. Shortly later, a global flood hit Qatar. MotoGP will not race the first round of the season, unless there is a possible recovery for tomorrow which is currently being discussed. A sensational fact almost unprecedented in the history of the MotoGP, even if last year the 250cc Indianapolis test was cancelled.

A bad blow for the MotoGP World Championship that could not have been avoided, now hoping to recover the race tomorrow, it is not yet known in what terms, times and ways. In the event of a race cancellation, the MotoGP calendar will go from 18 to 16 races, also due to the cancellation of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

For this eventuality the first race will be Motegi in two weeks, on April 26th.
