MotoGP – Losail Day 1 – Problem with bike 1 for Andrew Pitt

Andrew Pitt set the 19th time today on the first day of free practice for the Qatar GP which will take place on Saturday at the Losail track. The Australian Ilmor rider encountered a problem on the first bike, losing some time available and forcing him to take to the track with Moto 2. The former Supersport World Champion completed 35 laps with a constant performance, taking away the whim of stay ahead of Makoto Tamada, riding the much more competitive Yamaha YZR M1 800cc with Dunlop tires from the Tech 3 team.

“We had some problems in the second timed session and therefore I had to use the second bike”, comments Andrew Pitt. “I did 35 laps and had a constant performance, even trying different compounds. Overall I'm satisfied, I managed to lap in 59 minute and XNUMX minutes and this is a good result; we are slowly closing the gap and I am already looking forward to tomorrow's tests.”
