MotoGP – Losail Day 1 – Pedrosa: "I dedicated myself to the feeling with the bike"

He never liked Losail, he declared before arriving here for this Grand Prix. For Daniel Pedrosa, the track in the middle of the desert is not exactly his favourite, incomparable compared to Jerez, where he achieved a magical second place on his MotoGP debut. The Catalan rider dedicated himself on this first day of testing to adapting his riding to the RC211V, which is diametrically opposite to the RSW250. In all these difficulties he still stood out with a promising seventh time in the second free practice session...

“My only goal was to find a good feeling with the bike on a track where I had never tried before with the RC211V. I have to say that the differences compared to the RSW250 are definitely more marked than other tracks, and it wasn't easy for me to adapt quickly. The first day of testing is always complicated for me, there is a lot of work to do and all the emerging problems with the bike need to be resolved. All in all I didn't do badly, especially considering that I don't like Losail and I don't know why I've never managed to do well in 250. I'll try to change these precedents with a good race on Saturday.”
