MotoGP: Lorenzo, Spies and Dovizioso visit the Yamaha Europe headquarters
The pilots' signed helmets were given away as a gift for some lucky employees
The two riders of the Yamaha team Jorge Lorenzo e Ben Spies, together with Andrea Dovizioso of the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team visited yesterday the headquarters of Yamaha Europe which is based in Amsterdam, Holland.
The three pilots were welcomed by the facility's more than 100 employees and then toured the building with Andrew Smith, vice president of sales & marketing for the Europe zone.
After answering the factory employees' questions, the three drivers played with them to reconstruct the race pits. The employees present were rewarded for their work with an autographed copy of Lorenzo and Spies' helmets.
He was just missing the appointment Cal Crutchlow, who remained on precautionary rest to recover as best as possible from the injury suffered in England, in order to be fit for the start of free practice tomorrow.
"It was very funny - Lorenzo said – it was the third or fourth time I've been there and every time it's always a pleasure. It is Yamaha's largest and most important factory in Europe. It's great to see all the guys again, they're really enthusiastic and motivated.”
