MotoGP: Lorenzo: “Marquez is not unbeatable”
The Majorcan wants to return as a major player in 2015
Jorge Lorenzo wants to quickly forget the 2014 season, which saw him start among the favorites for the title fight and which instead he finished in third place behind Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi. The two-time MotoGP world champion wanted to point out that Marquez and Honda are not unbeatable, but that to beat them both he and Yamaha must be 100% fit. Here's what the Majorcan said in an interview with Elite Sport magazine.
“No one is unbeatable, we are here to win, but we have to work to keep up and try to defeat Marquez. This depends on many factors. Marc and Honda have done very well this year, but next season things can change. All it takes is something new like adapting your driving style to the tires. At the beginning of the season I didn't have confidence and I struggled to get competitive again.”
Yamaha's #99 then spoke about how important physical form is. “Now I'm at 70% of my form, but from January we will be at our best again to be ready for the start of the season.”
We remind you that the first MotoGP collective test is scheduled for early February on the Sepang circuit.
