MotoGP – Le Mans QP1 – Nicky Hayden still far from the leaders
For Nicky Hayden, Le Mans Qualifying brought small steps forward, as demonstrated by the 13th time achieved which moves him forward from the last row of the Jerez grid. In any case, for the former world champion there remains a substantial gap from the top and some traction problems with his Ducati Desmosedici, as stated at the end of the day.
“Here at Le Mans we started to find some promising setups but the short time available with stable conditions created some difficulties for us”, comments the Kentucky Kid. “Over the weekend we made small steps forward, continuous progress which for now has not led to a significant improvement in our times because we are still missing something: in fact we have not yet managed to find good rear grip which still moves too much when cornering. Unfortunately we are still far from the positions that count so the priority tomorrow will be a good start. I would really like to get a good result, we'll see!.
