Threatening skies for the first free practice session of the MotoGP class at Le Mans, theater of the "Monster Energy Grand Prix de France", fourth stage of the 2012 world championship. The riders of the premier class still found dry asphalt and therefore managed to lap with slick tyres. Also on track is Chris Vermeulen, riding the Suter BMW of the injured Colin Edwards, who should return to Barcelona.

At the end of the 45 minutes the fastest on the track was Casey Stoner, reigning champion who yesterday announced his retirement at the end of 2012. The Australian from Honda lapped in 1:34.321, trailing team-mate Dani Pedrosa by 587 thousandths and Andrea Dovizioso's Team Tech 818 Yamaha by 3 thousandths.

The Forlì native precedes his teammate Ben Spies and the first Ducati, that of Hector Barberà's Team Pramac. The Spaniard put Jorge Lorenzo behind him, almost a second off the top. The Mallorcan rider in turn precedes the Yamaha of British rider Cal Crutchlow, who has always been positive at the start of the season.

Closing out the Top Ten are Alvaro Bautista's Team Gresini Honda and the two official Ducatis of Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi, trailing Stoner by 1.082 and 1.508 respectively. Therefore heavy gaps for the Borgo Panigale team which also seems to be far from the top at Le Mans.

Eleventh and twelfth times for the prototypes of Karel Abraham (Ducati) and Stefan Bradl (Honda). The first CRT is that of Randy De Puniet, 13th and ahead of team-mate Aleix Espargarò (who crashed without physical consequences). Good performance by Mattia Pasini, 15th with the ART of Team Speed Master. Michele Pirro (who fell without suffering any consequences) is 17th, while Danilo Petrucci from Terni with the Ioda is 19th. Last and far behind (but it couldn't have been otherwise given the long absence from the races and the lack of knowledge of the vehicle) is Chris Vermeulen, who finishes 21st at 7.077 from Stoner.

ROSICATEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! then they say that she withdraws because she is afraid of her and thinks of her daughter HA HA HA!!! …. Luckily he's scary

if he were afraid he wouldn't drive like this violating every curb that comes in front of him... anyway the rosiconi are the ones who when it's worth it he'll leave they'll leave too (but you can wait for a driver to retire just because of the fans)

reader, no to your question, but as you will have seen, even in this blog, there are people who need to be treated by a specialist, but really, it makes you want to see the whole context and it's not the fans of the various drivers but they are always those of only one.

What a shame to read certain stadium fans who write with so much repressed hatred... unbelievable I thought it was just football stuff... I love motorbikes and have been following them for thirty years and these nursery school things have really broken... instead of talking about what has become of it of the maximum expression of the two wheels which is about to disappear To make way for the production derivatives anything is good to shoot at a rider who has given a lot of entertainment... but beyond everything I worry about the future of MotoGP which if border so it will disappear... sic's death... only four competitive bikes on the grid... SKY... Now the stoner withdrawal... we really need to worry a lot... and everyone here seems to be in kindergarten as always...

I've read a lot of bullshit and rumors about Casey, in the meantime, enjoy the difference over everyone, EVERYONE and also the spectacle that only he is able to put on while riding a motorbike!
Come on, don't worry, you only have this year to cheer!
You can also enjoy that the better you go, the easier it is to see the podium.
The uncle succeeded in finding a motorbike at the money rack.
I have always watched motorcycle races since before the arrival of the money holder and I will watch them after but from next year until he retires I will no longer watch MotoGP.

    1. reader said:

I will watch it only through the channels... at the limit of legality... waiting for another curb rapist who makes me emotional just for his driving style

sorry concluded, if Valentino goes to Honda next year it will be the demonstration of many negative things

      1. Walter said:

I don't think Rossi can go to the factory Honda next year given the hostility already shown by Honda leaders; maybe Lorenzo will go so an official place in Yamaha could become free for Rossi (it's the only top team available at the moment and above all still on good terms...).

      2. H954RR said:

After the HRC deputy's statements, if the money man went to Honda he would be someone who talks for nothing, I mean the deputy.
And if he goes I will support Lorenzo even if I'm a Hondista.
What do you mean by demonstration of many negative things?
And let's hope we don't wait too long for another curb raper, to use your correct expression.

      3. reader said:

but the many negative things are those that Stoner suggested in the interview to riders without motorbikes but who deserved it at the little theater wanted by Don Carmelo...
on the deputy who speaks for nothing the f1 teaches (alonso in mclaren: "I'm not interested in Ferrari and never have been interested" Alonso in Ferrari (but... ???????????) "I've always played with red cars have always been my dream as a child" montezzemolo "if he's not interested in coming it's not our problem we don't need him" 6 months later "alonso signed the contract with us we needed a champion like him)

        @walter
scenario already more possible, but I hope to see a young unknown on a Honda... who mysteriously sounds like everyone else

    Stoner: the True Phenomenon!!!

    overrated and overpaid!
    What a shame !!!!

  • Davide said:

I'm happy that Stoner is leaving MotoGP, so at least we'll stop hearing stupid comments about a great rider who gets covered in shit at every opportunity both by some competition fans (who don't even know what sportsmanship means!! !), and by some insiders who are just theorists!!! I thank Stoner for the emotions he has given us over these years. It's a shame to lose a great champion (and I would write this for other riders too!!!).

    1. H954RR said:

Davide, your reasoning, even if it's right, I'm very sorry that you're leaving, my mouse slipped on the less, I wanted to give you the more.
      Excuse me.

You know it's really nice to think that he retires in this dazzling shape while humiliating everyone!!! WHAT A LORD!!! WHAT AN EXIT!!! WHICH CLASS !!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • alonsito said:

stoner wins too easy so for other drivers it's not fair! and it's good if he goes away, so we'll see Lorenzo vs Pedrosa vs Dovizioso or Crutchlow at least something spectacular we'll see if stoner runs away no party!

Retirement in top form like the other unforgettable champion “Troy Bayliss”…. purebred Australians!!!
