French appointment for the riders of the MotoGP class, who took to the track on the legendary Le Mans track (even if the bikes do not cover it entirely), which will also host the 24h motorbike race in September. This is the second European stage, after the race two weeks ago in Jerez de la Frontera, where Marc Marquez achieved his fourth success out of four races held (Losail, Austin, Termas de Rio Hondo and Jerez).

The best time of this first session with 13th in the air and 14th on the asphalt was once again Marquez, who stopped the clock at a time of 1:34.328.

The reigning Honda champion preceded team-mate Dani Pedrosa by 189 thousandths, who set his fastest lap right under the checkered flag.

Third and fourth time for the Factory Yamahas of our Valentino Rossi and the Majorcan Jorge Lorenzo. The two drivers from the Tre Diapason company are 253 and 270 thousandths behind respectively.

They are followed by the Hondas of Alvaro Bautista (Team Gresini) and Stefan Bradl (Team LCR) and the first Ducati, that of Andrea Dovizioso from Forlì, riding the Desmosedici GP14.

Closing out the Top Ten are Pol Espargarò (Yamaha Tech 3), Andrea Iannone (on the Team Pramac Ducati) and Aleix Espargarò (Yamaha Open Forward Racing).

The first Honda Open is that of Hiroshi Aoyama, 13th and ahead of his team-mate Nicky Hayden. Sixteenth time for Yonny Hernandez, riding the second Ducati of Team Pramac.

For now, nothing has changed. Marquez retains 3 tenths of a second on the fastest lap, probably more, and much more on the pace, especially on the Yamaha riders but also on Pedrosa, who if he continues like this will have a Jerez-style race perhaps with slightly reversed positions.
