MotoGP Le Mans: Nicky Hayden “I was hoping for something more”
Nicky Hayden finished the French MotoGP class Grand Prix in seventh position, the fourth stage of the 2011 world championship. The American fought with his compatriot Ben Spies for sixth position and even if in the end he had to give up, he was still satisfied with the work and the progress made over the weekend.
“Let's say that we didn't do ourselves any favors by starting from the fourth row but, having said that, today we took a small step forward with the bike. I got away quite well at the traffic lights but at the beginning I was a bit stiff and I lost time. However, little by little I recovered from Edwards and Spies. Colin crashed and I passed Ben but at that point I wasn't able to get below 1'35 like I should have. In the end I finished seventh, which isn't a great result but in any case I rate this weekend as the best for us so far. On the cold track I have always managed to lap well. I was hoping for something more for today but I'm more confident for the future.”

I wouldn't say it was a bad weekend! Besides, starting from the 4th row is never easy! I really hope he can bring home a better result next race!
With the pace he showed in the warm up and the times set in all the sets except in the qualifying I expected more :(
