Nicky Hayden finished the French Grand Prix in sixth place, but given the performance of his team-mate Valentino Rossi (who finished second), he cannot be said to be satisfied. This weekend he has never managed to drive his GP12 at his best. The word is up to him.

“There must have been something on the inside line of the track, immediately after the start, because other drivers who passed on that side risked falling or actually fell. I myself, when I put it in second gear, felt that the bike was losing grip and that it was starting to "skid". I was therefore stuck in the group and in the first laps I struggled because I couldn't see well. As soon as I managed to pass someone, and had a clear track, I got into a good rhythm. I closed the gap on Bradl and Pedrosa until I got to about two seconds, then I almost crashed and had to start all over again. In the end I got back under Bradl but I wasn't able to pass him. It was frustrating because we had a great wet set-up and better potential than sixth place but I lost too much at the start. In any case, congratulations to the whole team for today's podium. They really deserve it.”

Nicky also had a good pace, unfortunately he started from the back and in the first laps he lost a life. He would have gotten ahead of Bradl and Pedrosa with ease. Sin

I'm a Valentino fan but Hayden is an excellent rider, I'm sure that if Ducati improves he too will be a pain in the ass... after all he's the strongest American of the last 20 years.

so...no Stonerista who still calls Vale a "jester"? But where did you end up??? ha ha ha Come on, you're always very strong, today you showed that when the bike is okay you're always there... at the front, putting on a show!

I like Rossi and I always have, but I have to say that he finally did what we all expect from a multiple champion, that is, not giving up, fighting until the end and above all staying ahead of his teammate...

Go Nicky, go Valentino and go Ducati!

I think Stoner had an excellent race anyway, I didn't see much resistance from him towards Rossi.
This makes me think that his bike wasn't in order for the wet conditions, which seems to me to be confirmed by the fact that for the first time this year Lorenzo went away without problems.
However, I believe that if there are no particular conditions Rossi will be in difficulty with the Ducati, something that didn't happen to Stoner.
Personally I think he should recognize this by admitting that he doesn't know how to take a bike that is difficult and that doesn't support the rider to the limit and go back (if he can) to the Japanese ones.

look, he publicly acknowledged what you say.
many didn't realize it because otherwise how can they call him a presumptuous arrogant buffoon... etc.
Don't worry about the Jap motorbike, he's definitely working on it ;)
if it happens I foresee a lot of people being filled with bile!!

2 second places in 22 races, an excellent balance to raise the crest, no doubt about it... XD

Maybe if you do the rain dance before each race, a 3rd place in the championship would be possible...

      1 second place and a 3rd place….not 2 second places….
