MotoGP 2015 Le Mans Pramac Ducati – Danilo Petrucci spoke on the eve of the French Grand Prix, fifth stage of the 2015 world championship. The Pramac Racing centaur from Terni answered the questions of the Italian journalists present in the Pramac Hospitality, here's what he said.

Danilo, the weather forecast says that it could rain on Sunday, as is happening at the moment. What can you say about that?

“I can't always hope for rain. The races on water are a bit distorted, even if in the end the best ones win, but I would prefer a dry race, to improve my feeling with the bike. I'm strong on the water, it's true, but I've also given some nice "facades".

Do you like the track? What are your goals?

“I don't mind the track, I've always achieved good results. The goal is always to get into Q2 and stay in the top ten in the Sunday race. In Jerez I fought for the Top Ten, but perhaps I thought a little too much and when I start to think I never think of the right thing! Vinales passed me, kicked me out and I lost two positions. However, it was a good race, I always pushed and had fun.”

Do you have any news from Ducati? At Jerez they gave you the fairing of the GP14.2

“Yes, Ducati brought me the GP14.2 exhausts here. I will therefore have a hybrid bike between the GP14 and the GP14.2. However, I don't have the new frame, which would be fundamental. In practice I have the same bike that they gave to Barberà, but it uses the Open control unit. But I do not ask and am not in a position to ask for more. I'm quite happy like this, the bike works well, here last year Dovizioso was on the front row, even if later in the race he finished eighth or ninth. It's still a nice bike, which allows you to show off. Ducati has always helped me, I trust them, they have always given me a hand since I was riding the Superstock."

Are you having a good season, does the bike need to improve more or do you need to improve in riding?

“I definitely have to improve, the bike has been turned over and over in the last two years. However, I am happy, the team is happy with my results, I am ahead of Redding in the standings and I have preceded him in the last few races, despite this starting a Honda Factory. I would like to finish the world championship in the top ten. I still have to take a little step forward, I have a lot to learn, in terms of riding I don't ride like the official riders, even if it's difficult to make comparisons given that they ride the new bike."
