Loris Capirossi was very disappointed at the end of the French GP in the MotoGP class, the fifth stage of the 2007 MotoGP. The rider from Romagna who had not shone in qualifying had in fact the possibility of achieving a good result in the rain, but with the wrong mapping (error admitted by the Ducati) did not let him go beyond eighth position. Capirossi had chosen the best moment to return to the pits to change bikes and was in front together with Chris Vermeulen and this only increased the Ducati rider's displeasure. Now comes Mugello and for the home GP Capirossi should receive some updates that should better adapt his driving style to the GP7.

“I'm very disappointed because with the rain I had the chance to get a good result”, says Loris Capirossi. “I changed the bike at the best moment, one lap before the others, and in fact I found myself in front, together with Chris (Vermeulen). But I immediately realized that something was wrong because the bike was unrideable. The engine mapping was not correct. It's really a shame and, even though I realize that it can happen, I can't objectively be happy. I could only defend myself and it wasn't easy at all because I risked falling with every braking. Now I just have to think about the next race.”
