MotoGP – Loris Capirossi's expectations for the IRTA tests

He is perhaps the most motivated rider this winter, Loris Capirossi. The desire for redemption after an unhappy 2007, the firm intention to show Ducati that they had made a big mistake in letting him leave in favor of Marco Melandri. The new Suzuki MotoGP rider, in his 18th season in the World Championship, is ready to return to action this weekend in Jerez in Frontera, for the three-day IRTA Test program with BMW up for grabs on Sunday in the 40-minute "qualifying" session minutes. The Imola native is confident in Suzuki's progress, with the aim of leaving his mark in Andalusia.

“I can't wait to get on track for the Jerez tests”, says Loris Capirossi. “It will be my first time in Europe with Suzuki, I feel very excited. The GSV-R has made great progress and overall it's a good bike, but we still have a lot of work to do between Jerez and Losail ahead of the first race. There are no points up for grabs this weekend, but it will be important to do well and check the competitiveness of our bike.".

Loris Capirossi won in the "qualifying" session the BMW up for grabs way back in 2003 in Barcelona, ​​then riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP3. He will therefore be a driver to keep an eye on for the single lap, after all Loris has always been a "qualifying animal".
