Testing has also finished for the new RS3 on the Spanish circuit of Jerez de la Frontera. On the last available day, Shane Byrne and Jeremy McWilliams also took turns at the handlebars together with Marcellino Lucchi (Aprilia Racing test rider).
Marcellino carried out some mapping and set-up tests in the morning, then handed over his bike to Shakey Byrne who continued to get along with the new Cube. A different job awaited Jeremy McWilliams who got on the saddle to check the progress of the development of the new bike which he had already started testing at the end of June.

At the end of the day, the Aprilia riders completed around a hundred laps, putting all the components of the bike to the test, with no breakages.

“I'm quite satisfied with these tests – said Shane Byrne – but I'm not yet in the best position to go looking for a time. The new Cube is a good step forward, more stable and less tiring than the old one, I hope to be 100% when I ride it again.”

“The bike – commented McWilliams – has grown a lot since I tried it. The work is certainly not finished, there is still something to be done to improve the delivery, but the chassis has already improved compared to the bike we used in the race.”

At the end of the day here are the best times: 1.42.483 for Jeremy McWilliams and 1.43.936 for Shakey Byrne.
