MotoGP Laguna Seca, Qualifying: Cal Crutchlow “Good second row”

Cal Crutchlow will start from the second row tomorrow in the Red Bull US Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2012 world championship which will be held on the Laguna Seca track. The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team rider brought his YZR-M1 SAT ahead of that of team-mate Andrea Dovizioso, with him having the say.

“We made a good improvement compared to yesterday even though we only did eight laps this morning due to the weather conditions. I've been in the top six all weekend and that's a huge step up from last year when I had a really tough weekend, outside of the Top Ten. The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team did a fantastic job last night to repair the motorbike seriously damaged in the fall. Fifth place on the starting grid is a good performance for them too. The second row is a good starting position and I've had good pace all weekend, so I'm looking forward to racing. I was consistent and fast on both the hard and soft tires and so the final decision will depend a lot on the track and the temperature.”
