MotoGP – Laguna Seca QP1 – Biaggi: "The start will be very important"

Max Biaggi expected more from qualifying for the Red Bull US GP at Laguna Seca, the eighth stage of the 2005 world championship. The Roman rider of Team Honda Repsol, who had always been among the protagonists in free practice, finished in 7th place and will therefore start from the 3rd row. What slowed him down was a change to the rear suspension which did not give the desired results.

“Starting seventh fastest, therefore from the third row, is below our expectations. After the good work done both on Friday and this morning we thought and could have done more. The change we made to the rear suspension in the last hour of testing did not give the desired results, on the contrary, it slowed us down. We have to go back to the previous setup. The possibility of having a good race is there, the start will be very important.”
