MotoGP Laguna Seca, Free Practice: Alvaro Bautista “We started the weekend well”
Eighth time on the first day of testing for the Spaniard from Team Gresini
Alvaro Bautista said he was satisfied with the first day of MotoGP free practice at Laguna Seca, scene of the ninth stage of the 2013 world championship. The Team Gresini rider, who rides the Honda RC213V with Showa suspension (the only one to use them) and Nissin brakes, in fact he finished in fifth position, immediately finding a good feeling with the bike and the circuit. The word is up to him.
“We started this American weekend positively. We started off strong with this morning's practice, immediately finding a good feeling with the bike and the circuit. In the afternoon we tried to improve some small problems we had on the front when braking and on the rear with initial grip but we weren't able to find the solutions. In the end, however, we managed to set a good pace and I only lacked the speed that I was convinced I could do. In any case I'm happy. Tomorrow we will try to solve the little problems that we tried to solve this afternoon and have a more stable bike when braking. However, I think the day was positive and I am confident in tomorrow's tests.”
