The world championship leader continues to amaze by setting the best time, Rossi is fourth

The second free practice session at the Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca (ninth stage and halfway point of the 2013 world championship) was very good and hard-fought. Various riders took turns at the top, but above all there was confirmation that Marc Marquez is a Phenomenon with a capital "F", one of those champions who are born once every 20 years.

The world championship leader (who this morning had put the wheels of his RC213V on the treacherous and technical US track for the first time) in fact impressed with how he immediately adapted to the circuit, even going so far as to set the best time with the fastest lap time. 1:22.040.

The #93 of Honda preceded by 229 thousandths his brand mate Stefan Bradl, on Team LCR's RC213V and the happy note of the day for Ducati fans, Andrea Dovizioso, who brought his Desmosedici GP13 to third place at 244 thousandths from the top, even if obtained with a new tyre.

Valentino Rossi is fourth and first Yamaha rider. The nine-time world champion closed at 306 thousandths of a second after the second half of the morning, doing better than his teammate Cal Crutchlow, the best of FP1.

Jorge Lorenzo, who returned today after the second collarbone operation, did well and was sixth. The reigning champion started calmly, especially in Free Practice 1, slowly increasing his pace, which brought him just over four tenths behind Marquez.

As usual, Aleix Espargarò's performance was amazing and he is now firmly among the prototypes with his ART CRT. The Team Aspar rider is in fact seventh and ahead of Fausto Gresini's Team Gresini Honda, Nicky Hayden's Ducati and rookie Bradley Smith's Yamaha.

However, the other high-class injured player, Dani Pedrosa, took it easier (especially compared to Lorenzo). The #26 Honda rider actually finished in eleventh position, 1"089 from the top. The pain in my collarbone is stronger than expected and the configuration of the track, which is very narrow and tortuous, doesn't help.

Alex de Angelis, who here replaces the injured Ben Spies aboard the Ducati of Team Pramac, is fourteenth and ahead of the CRT of Danilo Petrucci from Terni (Ioda Suter BMW of the Came Iodaracing Team) who in turn precedes another Italian, Claudio Corti on FTR Kawasaki of Team NGM Mobile.

It should be noted that the session was interrupted eleven minutes from the end due to a bad fall by home rider Blake Young. Rider unharmed but motorbike stopped in the middle of the track with oil leaking.

Is it my impression or did Dovizioso set the time in Marqez's wake? Because he improved immediately after Marquez in the time rankings.

  • Bryan said:

In my opinion the Hondas adapt very well to the circuit. Marqez in front, Bradl 2nd although with little pace, while Bautista 8th with pace, on the last lap Bautista was passing second but made a mistake on the last corner. In my opinion the circuit is better suited to Hondas than Yamahas...

the pleasure of seeing Rossi behind a Ducati ridden by a "normal" rider is supreme.
Honda circuit on the flying lap? What do Lorenzo's 4 consecutive poles tell you?

4 poles and how many victories?

What a silhouette the 20 year old is!
I haven't seen the FP2, I only saw a video on sportmediaset of Marc at the corkscrew :)
    Fantastic! That determination!

Lorenzo and Pedrosa are in bad shape, who knows what they will do.

Dovi, well done, but it's a lap in free practice.... Nothing more

For those who don't know: Rossi ran the entire session with just one tire (an additional one used), according to what was stated they concentrated on the second part of the race...

Before spouting nonsense you should also read a little about the work done by the various pilots :)

The taste, seasoned with the apologies of the fans now flavored with fruit, goes from superfine to sublime.
Rossi won't make a fourth consecutive impression, this for me is his last.

Truly gigetto (I use this nickname with which you replied) I am a Suzuki fan.

Of course, I have a liking for Valentino for what he showed me, for the emotions he gave me, etc.
I find the behavior of some people idiotic*, who continue to try to belittle what he has done over the years, the results achieved, with theories that have been dismantled so many times (obviously after doing this for days no one wrote anything, only to then reappear some time later).
This applies to all riders, not just Rossi.
But you find pleasure in this, I'm sorry for "you".

It's a fact, not an excuse....
He mounted used FP1 tires for the entire FP2 session to be able to improve the second part of the race.
Maybe I keep myself informed much more than you about the activities that take place on the track...

        If Rossi retires peace...
I will be sorry, as I was sorry for all the great drivers...
I was sorry to lose Stoner, I was sorry when Max left, I was sorry when my idol left (who due to his love for Suzuki did not win everything he could have won with other manufacturers, accepting the offers that he received arrived) but the races continue…

Who knows, maybe they won't continue for some elements.

I find other things "sublime", but evidently these are your satisfactions.

Ps: You use the term "fruit fan" with your relatives or with those you know, not like me. Learn the education and inform yourself a little more.
        In….

Well done, keep yourself informed about Valentino's rubbers, so the book of excuses becomes an encyclopedia.
Regarding the tirade about the fan, the first one to use inappropriate terms is you, you and perhaps your relatives can spout bullshit, if you allow me. Hypocritical.

    1. bcs said:

      poor in….How sad

    2. bcs said:

The history of the rubbers can be dismantled in a post (I've already done so, but the problem is that you won't "reply" again for a few days)...

Do you know how much it takes to make a tire?

Do you know how many days this rubber must rest (in a special chamber, with a constant temperature and as sterile as possible)?

Do you know what happens if you don't meet the deadlines?

Do you know what happens if you don't leave a freshly made tire to rest?

Do you know that in tire competition every driver had a technician from the chosen manufacturer who took note of what worked and what didn't in terms of tyres?

Do you know that the "rubbers" were available to all official riders (including those who were in private teams but with official treatment)?

The answer to these questions is: No, you don't know.

The story of the erasers is the most idiotic of all the theories of the anti-reds (anti-reds who are poorly informed)…

      I attach the answers:

To build a tire you don't need much time, the problem is the (enormous) rest time it has to do.

We are on the order of 3/4 days, before this period if you use this tyre, the tire is destroyed as soon as it starts to rest on the asphalt (or rather bursts).

Also every now and then you hear that: "this tire was defective etc".
This is because in 80% of cases, something went wrong during the rest period (e.g., for a few seconds you did not respect the temperature regime, or you exposed them too much, or some small particle of dirt got on the "fresh" tire ”).

For the rest: In competition the top riders were all in Rossi's situation, that is, they all had the tires designed for their bike.
Ditto the other official drivers (those in private teams but with official treatment).

      HI. In….

Look, unfortunately you have a lack of understanding, I don't know what you're talking about, I'll leave you to your delusions.

    1. bcs said:

Of course, you leave me to my delirium…
You don't know how to respond when faced with reality.
Show how much (little) you know….
It seems to me that others have a lack of understanding...

Yet another demonstration that in the face of certain data, something said several times that proves without a shadow of a doubt that you are talking bullshit. Go away, with your tail between your legs, insulting (as usual) without reporting CERTAIN data and evidence that proves what you write... Simply because they don't exist, remaining nonsense devoid of any logic and impossible from a practical point of view...

There is little to do…. You are like this, as long as it comes to bar talk you are the "best" (note the quotes on the plural, they are not a coincidence, inept), you are the best at shouting and insulting. But when it comes to verifying the whores and idiots you write, run away...
Simply because what you write is bullshit, and it remains so.

It seems to me that others have the lack of understanding... Maybe with serious treatment the matter could be resolved (but I see it as difficult).

      Hello inept.

I'm happy for you because we understand that you feel like someone with balls, who knows how to respond in kind... but believe me, you didn't get anything. Confuse people, confuse topics and then start with tirades full of inappropriate comments and personal attacks. I don't want to offend you because I respect you like everyone else and I'll end it here... but believe me, you're completely off the mark.

      2. bcs said:

What are you a shrink? AHAHAHAH
No, I don't feel like a nobody. But if a person or user spouts bullshit after bullshit, I intervene.
And if this character who spouts bullshit after bullshit, after my clarification on inaccurate things, is the FIRST and offends, I will respond in kind.

You make inappropriate comments, you mentioned erasers, I debunked the eraser theory for you, asking you to answer some questions.
What have you done? A meaningless comment, typical of bar fans. Simply because (I hope) you have realized that you have just written a load of bullshit, which has been dismantled with factual data, and timing that does not vary and does not depend on anyone, except on rules and parameters given by years and years of experiments.

If you are the first to do certain things, don't complain if they pay you back with the same coin. If you attack, I attack, I'm not someone who suffers, especially if the person attacking, believing they know what they're writing, actually doesn't know anything at all and limits themselves to citing "pearls" like a mediocre fan (except then giving it to those who know a little bit). , and points out that you wrote some bullshit).

I may be off track, but:
1 You didn't answer what I asked you (I'd like to point out that I made pictures because YOU brought up the topic)

2 Reply in these tones because you don't know what to write, and perhaps you've realized how much rubbish you've written.

I repeat: Don't complain if others repay you with your own coin...

Offend, demonstrate what you are (not) able to demonstrate.

Your latest comments show that you actually don't know what to answer, so you make the classic defense/champion of justice comments.

Obviously you will continue along this line (you have already done so several times). In a few articles you will still read the same things you wrote...

Ps: I don't care if you respect me or not (the insults you addressed to me in your comment in response to mine prove it). I don't assume you have it, I don't care.
I'm only interested in reading less bullshit and more serious things, and not the usual cheap bullshit that can be dismantled (clearly) in 4 seconds.

  • gigetto said:

oh yes, you really have balls :D

    1. bcs said:

Balls or not, I answer, you only know how to answer in these terms...
Yet another (or maybe not) that when they are shown how much bullshit they spout and how little they know, they respond with the usual teasing phrases believing they are the smartest on this earth.

Well... Then I'd rather be a stupid person than be part of the smart category.

Obviously I expect your answer to be in line with others, i.e. devoid of any content...

But you know, when you write something about the world championship you make the usual little comments, and then move on to others when they demonstrate to you the enormous bullshit you write.

      Hello champion!
