MotoGP Laguna Seca: Dani Pedrosa “It's difficult to ride, difficult to fight for the podium or victory”
"Painful" first day of testing for the #26 Honda
It's a sore Dani Pedrosa who speaks at the end of the first day of testing at Laguna Seca. The Honda rider, who only took to the track in the second free practice session, is in fact struggling with the injury suffered at the Sachsenring, namely a small fracture of the collarbone. Obviously this affected his performance. The Spaniard didn't go beyond the eleventh time and for Sunday he wants to be realistic, he has the say.
“It was difficult to ride in my condition, but I expected it. Now I have to try to rest as much as possible for tomorrow and recover some energy, so that I can bear the pain. I have to be realistic, victory is not my target this weekend, it will also be difficult to fight for the podium, but I will try to finish the race as far ahead as possible. I will try to limit the damage compared to my opponents. I want to thank everyone who helped me and everyone who sent me messages of encouragement.”
