A technical fault with the swingarm of Ben Spies' Yamaha YZR-M1 was the cause of a bad fall at the corkscrew exit. The American rider was unable to do anything, the bike "lost" its rear suspension, throwing him to the ground. The word is up to him.

"We had a technical failure with the swingarm. I felt really good on the bike, I didn't have the grip I had in the tests with the hard tyre, but in the last ten laps I started to push. I managed to put some gap on Dovizioso, then all of a sudden at the bottom of the corkscrew I lost the bike. I had no control, I couldn't do anything. At first I thought I had hit something, but there was nothing there. It's no one's fault, it's bad luck anymore. "

but do these things happen only to him?

could it just be bad luck?

this is the fourth time that serious problems have happened to him, two involving completely destroyed tires and two involving the motorbike... well.

this is what will happen to Rossi too, if he actually goes to Yamaha.
There they work only for Lorenzo.

what strange things have been happening to him ever since he spoke badly about Dorna... a bit like Biaggi in 2005...

what is happening is very serious...these sabotages, in addition to being incorrect, are also very dangerous for the pilot who could even risk his life...these gentlemen must be stopped immediately...

there's a lot happening to him... when it rains, it pours!!

but I'm starting to think that it's not just bad luck, too many strange things are happening to BEN and if that were the case it would be VERY SERIOUS!

and yes, it's very serious... have you noticed any strange things?... like the commentators who, seeing the fall, after instinctively pointing the finger at the bike and the strangeness of the fall, were then led to correct themselves immediately... and then outside the revs they had launched the discussion of the topic but then after the interviews with the pilots the problem was not discussed at all...

The rear swingarm that suddenly gives way???..maybe in motocross...in MotoGP it's really strange...it's right to go on a superbike and maybe we as fans should too...The races are really boring...even Lorenzo who passes stoner and yes please...

I agree, I don't see MotoGP anymore, it's very interesting, now everyone is abandoning it, both the manufacturers and the riders, they're all leaving, in a few years if things don't change radically only the ashes will remain

A strange thing also happened to Lawson when he was teaming with Rainey, he lost his brakes

I'm sorry for Spies' championship: last year he finished 5th in the MotoGP world championship and it seemed he was going to improve further this year.
I don't think (I hope) that Yamaha will boycott him, in SBK he won the world championship in 2009.
Too much bad luck though: either he falls or the bike doesn't work, they broke off the relationship...
    Well…, two clues prove it.
Better that he return to SBK, he has a better chance of winning and having fun.
