Suzuki has confirmed its participation in the 2011 MotoGP class world championship, but as already anticipated in June it will do so with just one bike, the one brought to the track by Alvaro Bautista. According to the Japanese company, this reduction is due to the global crisis, a crisis which also led to the withdrawal of Kawasaki last year. Here are the words of Loris Capirossi's now former team who will be riding the Team Pramac Ducati next year.

“Suzuki Motor Corporation would like to thank all the customers and racing fans who supported the Suzuki MotoGP Team in 2010. With the experience and knowledge acquired in 2010, the Suzuki MotoGP Team looks forward to 2011 with great passion and commitment. The Suzuki MotoGP Team will participate in 2011 with just one rider, Alvaro Bautista. Alvaro joined the team in 2010 and made good progress with the GSV-R, improving his results throughout the season. Suzuki will continue to make the best use of the limited time available for the start of the 2011 season by developing the new motorcycle and would like to thank all Suzuki customers and racing fans for their continued support.”
