Ahead of the Jerez race, the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team toured with Alex De Angelis on the Vairano circuit in Vidigulfo, owned by the specialized magazines Dueruote & Quattroruote, for a test at Colin Edwards' CRT (in the photo). The team's Moto2 rider from San Marino took to the track, and therefore already in great harmony with the team, to allow Colin Edwards to stay at home and rest in view of the double appointment in Jerez and Estoril.

The team tested a new version of the electronic system, electronics being the least developed element of the CRTs compared to the MotoGPs. In the end the men of the Forward team said that the test was very positive and some modifications to the bike could be used already in Jerez next week. However, the climatic conditions did not allow the completion of the established program.

“I am very happy that the team, Suter and BMW thought of me to participate in this CRT development day – said De Angelis – The test was short due to the unfriendly weather conditions: we didn't do too many kilometers but without a doubt it was a great feeling racing with a 1000cc. We worked on developing the electronics, something we don't do in Moto2. I hope I have given good feedback to the team, Suter and BMW, in order to put them in the right direction. I want to thank the team for this opportunity. I will remain available for further tests. "
